This week, Rhys talks to Dr. Dayna Mason from the Royal Society of Chemistry about the International Year of Chemistry and the importance of the discipline to the UK. Our STEM Ambassador of the Week is Dr. Lee Parry from the School of Biosciences at Cardiff University. Later on, Dr. Chris North talks to Dr, Meg Schwamb from the Department of Astronomy at Yale University about the discovery of Kepler 22-b and the possibility of it being suitable for living organisms. Hugh Lang from the School of Physics & Astronomy at Cardiff University gives us his guide to the night’s sky throughout January and Subject of Science looks at Sir. Humphrey Davey.
