Podcast Science 58 - Faster Than Light Neutrinos (in French)

A little over a month ago, teams from the OPERA experiment (at CERN in Switzerland and Gran Sasso in Italy) announced that they had measured neutrinos travelling faster than the speed of light in a vacuum, which contradicts Einstein's theory of Special Relativity.

Now that the buzz has calmed down a little, we wanted to explore a few loose ends... What is a neutrino? How can you measure anything that doesn't interact with ordinary matter? Why did the scientists at CERN share the story if they believe there is a mistake in their measurements? Was Einstein really wrong as the mainstream media claimed? This week's dossier made things a few folds more clear to us, we hope it will also help you.

Bonne écoute :)
