Pythagoras' Trousers - Episode #48

Speedy Neutrinos and Bang! Goes the Theory
This week, Rhys talks to Professor Chris Allton from Swansea University about the neutrinos at CERN that appear to have travelled faster than the speed of light – he asks him what this will mean for science if found to be true and what the other explanations are for the data appearing in this way. Our STEM Ambassador of the Week is Paul Lindsay, Head of Operations at the Aerospace Wales Forum. Later on, Rhys catches up with the presenters of Bang! Goes the Theory – Dallas Campbell, Jem Stansfield, Liz Bonnin and Dr. Yan Wong – at their roadshow in Cwmbran. Finally, in the first of this year’s Subjects of Science celebrating Black History Month, we take a look at the inventor of the first water pistol – Lonnie Johnson.
