The MedicCast

This week on the MedicCast podcast for EMTs, paramedics and EMS students, the podmedic provides a discussion on assessing behavioral and psychological patients.Emergency responders should be aware that changes in behavior and mental status is not always psychological in origin so it is up to them to thoroughly assess the patient for presence of head injuries, low blood sugar, poor oxygenation and the like that may be causing altered mental status.
