Pythagoras' Trousers - Episode #16

Xmas Gifts & Astronomy Roundup
This week, Rhys looks at two items that would make ideal Christmas gifts for scientists – Louise Crane talks about the Geek Calender and Steven Goldfarb tells us all about the Resonance CD from the CERN ATLAS project. This week’s STEM Ambassador is Chris O’Brien, an environmental engineer from Tata Steel. As it’s the last regular show before Christmas, we’re joined once again by Chris North and Hugh Lang from the School of Physics & Astronomy at Cardiff University. Chris tells us about the forthcoming solar and lunar eclipses and Hugh provides the guide to the night’s sky in January. Finally, this week’s Subject of Science looks at Alois Alzheimer.
