scienceTASTIC Episode 057 - Bing!

This episode of scienceTASTIC might have you calling the fire department because a) the news is hot, b) the humor is on fire, and c) a lot of the stories are about trees and cats. Mike previews a tree-like skyscraper in Taiwan, Mark analyzes some slo-mo video to figure out how cats drink, and Joe explains how scientists can turn trees into streetlights. Barely keeping with that theme (and that's an understatement) we have the Xbox 360 Kinect being used to gather advertising data, building ice resistant roads, and states that are finally discontinuing phone books. All of this had George the cat purring, so you'll probably enjoy it, too.
