Mechanism of Injury In Vehicular Accidents

Victims of vehicular accidents often require immediate response from emergency medicine providers. In severe cases, time is of the essence so it is important for paramedics to conduct a speedy but thorough assessment on the actual and possible injuries of the patient.

As a follow up to a previous episode, Kinematics of Trauma, this week's episode, MVA mechanisms of injury, explains how emergency responders can identify injuries sustained from a vehicular accident by looking at the type of crash and taking into consideration other factors.
