Exploring Autism, Violence Prevention and More: School Psychology Podcast Episode 048

gw augTopics include the evidence of Autism being less rare than we had believed and thoughts about reactions people have to violence and how to prevent violence. The recent shooting at Fort Hood, Texas was a tragic event, as is true of all shootings such as this one where an individual goes on a rampage and shoots multiple victims. Often these events elicit many reactions from people about what we should do now about this or what we did wrong in the past. It is hard to just take in information like this and not want to fix it or understand it. However, we should be careful to inform our responses with information about prevention and evidence-based practices.
