I was lucky enough to interview Deborah Bass, the Deputy Project Scientist from the Phoenix Mars mission last September.

Dr. Deborah Bass and her colleagues at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and University of Arizona have sent a Martian lander on a 400 million mile/10 month journey to the Martian arctic. The lander is equipped with some of the most sophisticated geological instruments to study the history of water and potential for life in the Martian Arctic's ice-rich soil. I remember that this was a very interesting interview.
