Pediatric Nebulizer Devices and Albuterol on the MedicCast

a Podcast for EMTs and Paramedics by EMTs and ParamedicsThis week's episode of the MedicCast features a look at a neat pediatric nebulizer device shaped like a phone handset called the "Oxyphone." It plays a song while in operation, so the child holds the phone to their ear while getting their blow-by nebulizer treatments from the microphone end of the handset. I interview Dr. Craig Corey, an ED physician who came up with the product about the device.

We also cover the BLS version of the Albuterol inhaler in the Med of the Week. Check out the MedicCast Podcast for EMTs, Paramedics, and other ems providers.
