Books and Ideas Podcast #19: Interview with Dan Ariely

Books and Ideas is the podcast where I talk about things that don't quite fit into the Brain Science Podcast. This week I posted Episode 19, which is an interview with MIT's Dan Ariely, whose book Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions is currently on several best-seller lists.

During our interview Ariely shared how he came to have his passion for studying human behavior. As a behavioral economist he studies why our choices so often deviate from the logical choices predicted by economic theory. We also talked about the art of designing good experiments.
