School Psychology Podcast 036: Saluting the real advocates for children with special needs

Continuing with evaluating the claim that Sarah Palin is helping children with special needs, I focus in this episode on the parents who have advocated and reshaped special education for children with special needs. We detail the numerous laws that have been enacted that Palin should become familiar with if she would like to be seen as an advocate. We discuss how a combination of dedicated parents, legislators, politicians, researchers and practitioners have helped enhance education and protections for people with disabilities.
