How to Join
If you are a science podcaster please contact Ginger Campbell, MD at gincampbell at mac.com to find out how your podcast can be come part of SCIENCPODCASTERS.ORG. No show is too small, but if I don’t know your show I made need some information before you are added. If you see you show listed in the sidebar I have probably tried to send you an invitation. I will make you a member as soon as you contact me for instructions. Click here to learn about our goals and purposes.
Requirements for Member Podcasts:
1. You must produce your podcast on an on-going, regular basis, which means at least once a month.*
2. New members are required to post regularly for 2-3 consecutive months before they are featured on the member page.
3. You must provide a brief blog post for each show that you put on-line. It is perfectly OK to copy and paste something from your main website.
*If your show is new, I will probably ask you to wait until you have put out at least 5 shows. If you have a long running show, it is fine to take breaks, but you should contact us if you decide to quit podcasting.
Suggestions:
If your show comes out less than once a week you may want to submit blog posts about older episodes that you would like to share with potential listeners. Marc Pelletier has set a great example in this regard. This also a good thing to do if you have to take a break since most of the link backs you get will come from your posts.
Be liberal with links in your posts: Feel free to include direct audio links as well as subscription links.
Don't forget to include Category (each podcast has its own) and tags with each post. This will help potential listeners find your content.
The more you post, the more benefit you will gain from your participation in SCIENCEPODCASTERS.ORG. Feel free to post comments about other shows that you have enjoyed.
